What is included in a dry sauna Makassar build?

Every cabin is priced as a finished room rather than a kit dropped at your gate. The scope covers the sandwich walls and ceiling, benches, door, lighting, ventilation, the heater and the electrical run that feeds it.

• Frame, 50 mm rockwool, aluminium foil vapour barrier, 20 mm ventilation gap, cedar or thermowood lining.
• Aspen or abachi benches with hidden fixings, so no metal meets skin at 90 degrees.
• A Harvia heater, or Sawo or Tylo, with guard rail, stones and a wall or app controller.
• An 8 mm tempered glass door, and a full glass wall if you want the room to feel larger.
• Sized supply and extract ventilation, SiHF cable, a dedicated breaker and an ELCB.

A dry sauna is the product where every household asks the same three questions: how hot, how many people, how much. The answers are 70-90 degrees, two to eight people, and the table below.

Why does a dry sauna work in a climate this humid?

The objection we hear most often is that the city is already hot enough. The point of a dry sauna is not extra heat but dry heat: at 10-20 per cent humidity the body sweats and cools efficiently, which 80 per cent outdoor humidity prevents. Fifteen minutes at 80 degrees followed by a plunge is why the pairing has taken hold in gyms along Jalan Pengayoman and houses in Panakkukang.

Coastal air changes the build, not the idea. Salt breeze off the strait reaches Tanjung Bunga and the CPI reclamation every afternoon, so external fixings are stainless and any outdoor cabin gets its own roof. Inside, the foil and ventilation gap are non-negotiable: a dry sauna built without them looks perfect on handover day and smells of mould by its third wet season.

Electricity: from 5,500 VA to three phase

Power is the first thing we check, before wood or glass. A two-person cabin with a 3.6 kW heater sits on 5,500 VA. Four people at 2x2 m need 6 kW and a PLN upgrade to 7,700 VA. Six people at 2.4x2 m need 8 kW and 11,000 VA, eight people at 3x2.4 m need 9 kW, and anything from 10.5 kW upwards moves to three phase.

The upgrade is paid by the owner directly to PLN, and we give you the figure before the deposit rather than after the panels are cut. Older houses around Pettarani and Tamalanrea still sit on 2,200-5,500 VA, and in a three-storey cluster the run from the main board to the top floor is a real line in the quote. Where an upgrade is impossible we say so at the survey.

Lead times, districts and what happens on site

Fabrication runs one to two weeks, then two to four weeks of installation. We work across Panakkukang, Hertasning, Tanjung Bunga, Tamalanrea, Daya and Sudiang, out to Sungguminasa and Samata in Gowa, to Maros near the airport, and up to Malino when a weekend house is involved.

The last day is always the same: we heat the cabin to working temperature with you present, check ventilation, guard and ELCB, hand over the drawing and warranty card, then leave.
