Panel, rockwool, foil, a vented gap and cedar, always in that order. Drop the foil or seal the gap and Makassar humidity reaches the insulation within a few rainy seasons.
Heaters from 6 kW upward need a 7,700-11,000 VA supply; on 5,500 VA the options are an infrared cabin or an upgrade application. Every quote includes SiHF cable, a separate breaker and an ELCB.
Larch or thermowood tub with a liner, a half to one HP plunge chiller holding 3-15 degrees, filtration with ozone or UV, and a drain that works.
Western red cedar, Scandinavian spruce or thermowood inside, aspen or abachi benches. Ulin and bengkirai stay on the outdoor decking and never enter the cabin.

How much does a sauna cost in Makassar?
A custom dry sauna of 2x2 m for four people runs at an indicative IDR 60-120 million, an economy cabin from IDR 40 million, a prefab cabin IDR 15-35 million fitted, and an infrared cabin IDR 30-70 million. Every figure stays indicative until the survey; the full list is on the sauna price page.
Can a house on 5,500 VA have a sauna?
Yes. Infrared at 1.7-2.4 kW needs nothing extra on 5,500 VA, and a two-seat dry cabin on 3.6 kW also fits if the air conditioning is managed. From 6 kW upward you need 7,700-11,000 VA, an upgrade the owner pays PLN for and which we price before you sign.
How long does the work take?
A home sauna takes two to four weeks on site plus one to two weeks of material supply; infrared one to two days, a steam room three to five weeks, a cold plunge or outdoor cabin one to two weeks, a commercial room four to eight. Panels are made in Panakkukang, so nothing waits on a vessel.
