Prefab sauna
Prefab sauna cabins in Makassar, fitted from local stock
A ready-made one or two person cabin, delivered from our Panakkukang stock and assembled in a single day.
A prefab sauna in Makassar is a factory-sized cabin for one or two people, delivered assembled in sections and fitted in a day. It suits renters, small apartments and anyone testing the habit before committing. Indicative IDR 15-35 million delivered and installed, from stock rather than from a ship.

What is the difference between a prefab sauna and a custom build?
A custom cabin is drawn for your room; a prefab sauna is drawn once and repeated, which is why it costs a third as much and arrives in days rather than weeks. The panels come in fixed widths, the bench layout is set, and the heater is chosen from two sizes. What you give up is the ability to fill an awkward corner or run a full glass wall.
- Footprint 1.2x1.2 m or 1.5x1.2 m, for one or two people.
- Wall build-up identical to our custom cabins: rockwool, foil vapour barrier, ventilation gap, timber lining.
- A 3 to 3.6 kW heater with a guard, stones and a wall controller.
- Assembly in a single day, with the electrical connection done on the same visit.
For a first home sauna this is the least painful entry point in the city, and the cabin can be dismantled and moved later without demolition.

Why should a prefab sauna Makassar order come from local stock?
Because the alternative is a container. A cabin bought online from Java or abroad arrives as a crate of 300-600 kg, spends five to nine days at sea, waits at Makassar port, and then needs two technicians flown in to assemble it. By the time freight, port handling, tickets and hotel nights are added, a nominally cheap unit is no longer cheap, and the first service call repeats the whole exercise.
We hold panels, heaters and controllers in Panakkukang. A cabin ordered for a townhouse in Hertasning, an apartment near Pettarani or a guest room in Tamalanrea is loaded on a truck, driven across the city and stood up the same week. When an element fails two years later, the replacement is on our shelf.
Power: comfortable on a 5,500 VA house
This is the product for houses that cannot or will not upgrade. A 3 to 3.6 kW heater draws inside what a 5,500 VA connection already provides, provided the air conditioning and the water heater are not all running at once, and we still fit a dedicated breaker, an ELCB and heat-resistant SiHF cable rather than borrowing a socket circuit. Nothing about the electrical work is simplified because the cabin is small.
If your meter reads 2,200 VA, which is still common in older streets around Daya and in parts of Sungguminasa, the options are a PLN upgrade to 5,500 VA, paid by the owner, or an infrared cabin instead. We check the meter photograph before quoting so the answer arrives early rather than on installation day.
Living with it, moving it, and what it costs to run
A two-person cabin heats to 80 degrees in roughly 40 minutes and adds IDR 200,000-500,000 a month to the bill at three or four sessions a week. Maintenance is a wipe of the benches, a stone check once a year and clean ventilation grilles. If you move house inside the city, we dismantle and refit the cabin for an indicative IDR 2-4 million, which is the main reason renters choose this route.
Households that outgrow it usually move to a custom dry sauna and add a plunge; households that cannot upgrade the supply move sideways to infrared. Both comparisons, with figures, are on the price page.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit through a normal doorway?
Yes. The cabin arrives as separate wall, ceiling and floor sections, none wider than a standard door, and is bolted together inside the room. We confirm the route, including stair turns in three-storey cluster houses, during the survey.
Is a prefab cabin built to a lower standard?
The wall build-up is the same as our custom work: rockwool, foil vapour barrier, ventilation gap, timber lining. What is standardised is the geometry, not the specification. Skipping the vapour barrier to hit a lower price is exactly what fails in this climate.
Can it go on a covered terrace?
Under a solid roof, yes. In the open, no. Rain and ultraviolet destroy an unprotected cabin quickly here, so an exposed position calls for a proper outdoor sauna cabin instead, which is built and priced differently.
How quickly can you deliver?
Usually within the week when the size we hold matches your room, since the units are in Panakkukang rather than in transit. Message us through the contact page with the room dimensions and we will confirm stock the same day.
